'Palmer has to leave Aston Martin, Mercedes top man becomes new CEO'

According to Financial Times reports, due to a reorganisation at Aston Martin, CEO Andy Palmer will no longer be available. The 56-year-old British top executive has to leave and will allegedly be succeeded by Tobias Moers. This German is now still Mercedes-AMG President and CEO, so the ties between Aston Martin and Mercedes are being strengthened. Lawrence Stroll has been the owner of Racing Point for several years, but recently the billionaire also owns Aston Martin. The British brand was financially grounded and rescued by the Stroll consortium. As a result of the takeover, Racing Point will be known as Aston Martin in Formula 1 from 2021.
