'A championship with fewer races isn't worth less than normal'
The upcoming Formula 1 season with 22 races was originally going to be the longest season ever. Because of the corona crisis they are now preparing for the shortest season in years. According to former F1 and Ferrari test driver Marc Gene that is no problem at all, especially if the minimum of fifteen Grands Prix is achieved. Prior to this shortened season, some followers already put the value of this championship into perspective. A seventh title of Lewis Hamilton or a first for Max Verstappen would therefore be worth less than usual. Gene doesn't want to know anything about this and says we might see more action as a result.
