Alexander Albon was chosen by Red Bull Racing during the summer break last year to replace the disappointing Pierre Gasly. A choice that resulted in a disappointed Daniil Kvyat at the time. He had hoped for a second chance and perhaps even counted on it. In the first half of the 2019 season Kvyat was in no way inferior to his new teammate.
