Olympic Games postponed by one year because of the coronavirus
It's been hanging in the air for a while, but RTL Nieuws has just confirmed that the 2020 Olympics will be rescheduled for a year. That was decided on Tuesday by the International Olympic Committee (IOC) in consultation with the Japanese Prime Minister Shinzo Abe. The 2020 Olympic Games were to be held in Japan and were scheduled for the end of July. Of course, the end of July is still far away, but due to the lockdowns in several countries, it is currently impossible for athletes to prepare for the games.
