Lewis Hamilton at an “advanced stage” of signing two-year Mercedes extension

Lewis Hamilton is reportedly in an “advanced stage” of signing a new two-year contract extension with Mercedes according to Gazzeta dello Sport, keeping him at the Silver Arrows until the end of 2022. Hamilton’s current contract ends at the end of the 2020 season and towards the end of 2019 he had been heavily linked with a move to Ferrari for 2021. But that doesn’t look like the case now after the Scuderia announced in December that Charles Leclerc would be there until the end of 2024. Luigi Perna wrote in Friday’s edition of Gazzeta dello Sport: “In the meantime, Lewis Hamilton is in discussion with Mercedes over the renewal of his...
