It's a sign of the times perhaps that the sport is still celebrating McLaren's fourth in the 2019 constructor standings. Admittedly, compared to those dark days of 2015 and 2017 it was a massive improvement for the 12-time Drivers' Championship winners and 8-time champion constructors. Indeed, at Williams, 7 and 9 titles, respectively, even ninth would be seen as progress come the end of the season.
