Lewis Hamilton has paid tribute to the late Niki Lauda after the Brit made it World Championship number six after finishing second at the US Grand Prix on Sunday. Hamilton started the race at the Circuit of the Americas in fifth but was leading going into the final stages of the race. However, his teammate, Valtteri Bottas overtook him for the victory on fresher tyres but P2 was still enough to crown Hamilton a six-time World Champion. Hamilton dedicated his victory to Niki Lauda who sadly passed away in May. The Austrian former World Champion is credited with bringing Hamilton to Mercedes.
