Perez summoned to stewards for missing weighbridge

Sergio Perez has been summoned by the Formula 1 race stewards after missing the weighbridge at the end of second practice for the United States Grand Prix on Friday in Austin, putting the Mexican at risk of a pit lane start. Perez was called to go to the FIA weighbridge at the very end of FP2 at the Circuit of The Americas, but failed to adhere to the signal, instead returning his Racing Point car to his garage. The stewards issued a bulletin confirming that Perez was required to visit them at 1830 local time in Austin to discuss the potential breach of the regulations that require drivers to follow the FIA's signal to go to the weighbridge.
