Former F1 driver questions F1 end of season – “What will we have then?”

Former Formula 1 driver JJ Lehto has questioned the spectacle of the last few races of the season with the constructor’s championship already sealed by Mercedes and Lewis Hamilton soon to claim a sixth World Championship. Hamilton needs to finish eight or better at the US Grand Prix in Austin to sit one World Championship behind Michael Schumacher’s record of seven after winning four since 2014. But even after Austin there are still two race weekends left on the calendar heading to Brazil and the season ending Abu Dhabi, something Lehto questions as to what the point is with the constructors and drivers’ championships done. “What will we have then?”...
