McLaren “still have work to do” to secure midfield lead in championship

McLaren team principal Andreas Seidl admits that the team “still have work to do” to secure the lead at the top of the midfield in the constructor’s championship with five races to go. The Woking based team head to Suzuka with a healthy 33-point lead over Renault thanks to a double points finish of P6 and P8 from Carlos Sainz and Lando Norris in Russia. But Seidl is aware that rivals Renault can still catch up quite easily should McLaren have a bad weekend in Japan. "Although we head to Suzuka with an increased lead over our midfield competitors in the Constructors’ Championship, we are mindful that we still have work to do to lock down this...
