FIA responds to rumours about the potential arrival of new teams
Over the last few days, rumours have sprung out of nowhere suggesting two different teams are planning on moving to Formula 1 from the 2021 season. The FIA has responded overnight with a short statement. Earlier this week, a Russian billionaire announced his interest in creating a team following the increase in popularity of Formula 1 in the country. There was also news about a Spanish Formula 1 team moving into Formula 1 as well. Although there are intentions, the statement said no serious plans are in the pipeline.
