Cyril Abiteboul: 'Renault and Mercedes have different ambitions'

Cyril Abiteboul says that Renault and McLaren have "different ambitions" after their split at the end of 2020 was announced, with McLaren returning to Mercedes power. McLaren and Renault came together at the start of 2018, after McLaren suffered three horrific years with Honda, with the French team powering McLaren the sixth in the championship in their first season as partners. This season has been even better for McLaren, who currently sit fourth in the constructors' standings, ahead of Renault.
