Singapore GP facing impact from smog after wildfires

Fears have been raised that the Singapore Grand Prix could become affected by smoke and smog as wildfires rage in neighbouring Indonesia. AFP reports that illegal wildfires on the islands of Borneo and Sumatra are the worst since 2015 and have rendered the air quality "very unhealthy" in Malaysia, which also owns land on Borneo. Article continues under video Over 1,500 schools have reportedly closed in Malaysia, with the capital Kuala Lumpur, west of Borneo and approximately 225 miles to the north of the Singapore border, among the worst affected areas.
