Alex Peroni 'very lucky to be walking' after Formula 3 crash at Monza

Formula 3 driver Alex Peroni has admitted he is "very lucky to be walking" following his massive crash at the Italian Grand Prix last weekend. Peroni went wide on lap 17 at the Parabolica and hit the sausage kerb which sent him high into the air, bizarrely and his car flipped. He was then taken out of the car and rushed to San Gerardo Hospital. The 19-year-old Australian racing driver suffered a broken vertebrae, and fortunately for the youngster, he did not require surgery and was released from hospital in due course.
