Robert Kubica: “When I tried to use George’s setup, I went even slower”

Williams driver Robert Kubica has said that he “went even slower” after he tried using teammate George Russell’s setup after struggling to match his lap times. At the Hungarian Grand Prix Williams made a significant step in the performance of their car after Russell nearly made it into Q2 for the first time but started 16thon the grid and then went on to finish ahead of Lance Stroll, Antonio Giovinazzi, Kubica and the retired Romain Grosjean in 16th. But Kubica could not replicate the same pace as his teammate throughout the weekend despite the upgrades that the team had brought along. When asked whether this was down to the difference in ability to setup the...
