Wolff: Contract decision isn't just about 2020 season but about 'looking ahead'
On the 20th July 2018, Mercedes fired early and announced the contract extension of both Lewis Hamilton and Valtteri Bottas. However, it seems as if Toto Wolff is keeping his powder dry during the 2019 Formula 1 season as the team look to plan ahead. Esteban Ocon is sitting in the Mercedes garage, desperate for a drive during the 2020 season. However, Bottas is pushing Hamilton for the title having upped his game during the winter.
