Only a top Formula 1 team could lure me away from Formula E – Jean-Eric Vergne
Two-time Formula E champion Jean-Eric Vergne says it would take an offer from one of the top three Formula 1 teams to lure him away from Formula E and back to the series he last competed in back in 2014 with Toro Rosso. Vergne made his F1 debut in 2012 as a member of Red Bull's junior programme and faired well against his team-mates. In his debut season at Toro Rosso he beat Daniel Ricciardo by six points, but the following season fell behind the Australian who now drives for Renault, and then thrashed then-rookie Daniil Kvyat by 22 points to eight. However Vergne was ousted from the sport as Toro Rosso refreshed its line-up with Max Verstappen and Carlos Sainz Jr in 2015,...
