Hamilton, Mercedes back on top: French GP FP1 Results

Mercedes started the French Grand Prix on the front foot as Lewis Hamilton led Valtteri Bottas at the top of the timesheets, as Sebastian Vettel came home a second adrift for Ferrari after a session which saw the German struggle somewhat. Many drivers found tyre issues around the blistering Circuit Paul Ricard, with temperatures set to climb higher over the weekend, perhaps giving teams a headache for the race.
