Hamilton takes pole as Ferrari flounder – Qualifying Report

Monaco Grand Prix – Lewis Hamilton beat Mercedes team-mate Valtteri Bottas to pole position, but Ferrari were left to rue a Q1 elimination for Charles Leclerc. Mercedes are in the prime position to challenge for a record-breaking sixth consecutive one-two finish after locking out the front row of the grid in Monaco. In what turned out to be a battle of the Silver Arrows in the final part of qualifying, Bottas initially led the contest after clocking a 1:10.252.
