Robert Kubica to start from pit lane after qualifying crash

Williams has confirmed that Robert Kubica will start Formula 1’s Azerbaijan Grand Prix from the pit lane in the wake of his qualifying crash. Kubica clipped the inside wall at Turn 8 and the trajectory sent him heavily into the barriers on the outside of the corner, causing substantial damage to the front-right of the FW42. Kubica was poised to line up from 19th on the grid but will instead take the start from the pit lane.
