Renault team principal Cyril Abiteboul has underlined the importance of introducing a budget cap with the new regulations in 2021, as the Frenchman explained the financial side of F1 has to be changed more so than the actual regulations within the sport. Since their return to Formula 1 as a works team in 2016, Renault have enjoyed a steady upward trajectory.
