Verstappen delivers first podium to Honda since 2008!

© XPB  Phillip van Osten 17/03/2019 at 08:33 Max Verstappen finished third in Sunday's season-opening Australian Grand Prix, the Red Bull driver bringing new engine partner Honda it's first podium finish in F1 since Silverstone in 2008. The Dutchman launched his race from P4 on the grid, a position he maintained in the early stages of the race. A prolonged first stint on the Pirelli soft tyre allowed Verstappen to move up to second, but a change to the medium compound placed him back fourth from where he fought to catch up with and eventually pass Sebastian Vettel.
