Vandoorne reveals difference between Mercedes and McLaren

Obviously there are differences between title winning Mercedes and the McLaren team that ended the 2018 season as one of the worst on the grid, but Stoffel Vandoorne has revealed a major difference between the two teams. The Belgian spent two years at the team before being axed and signing a Formula E contract. He did receive a lifeline for his F1 career when Mercedes appointed him as a simulator driver. Vandoorne is clearly a talented driver, having won GP2 in 2015, but somewhat lost his way at McLaren.
