Bar the death of Sergio Marchionne and Niki Lauda's lung transplant, Cyril Abiteboul managing to sign Daniel Ricciardo for Renault was the biggest news of a headline packed 2018 Formula 1 season, and now that the dust has long settled it is clear that the biggest winner in this saga is Red Bull's new boy Pierre Gasly.
