Ferrari Project 670 passes FIA crash tests
Next year's Ferrari, internally referred to as Project 670, has passed the mandatory FIA crash tests with less than a month to go to the first day of preseason testing in Barcelona next month. Autosprint reports that the new Ferrari Formula 1 car passed a multitude of dynamic impact tests performed to the front, sides, and rear of the chassis, plus the steering column while the driver’s survival cell remained undamaged throughout as per regulations. All the boxes were ticked. The Project 670 will produce the yet undesignated 2019 successor to the effective SF71H penned by Mattia Binotto's team, the Swiss engineer now promoted to lead the team in place of Maurizio Arrivabene.
