Daniel Ricciardo handed grid penalty for Brazilian GP

Brazilian Grand Prix – Daniel Ricciardo has been given a five-place grid penalty for this weekend's race at Interlagos. The 29-year-old Australian will drop five places for the penultimate race of the 2018 season due to a new turbocharger in the car's power unit. Red Bull team principal Christian Horner explained to Sky that the new turbocharger was a result of Ricciardo's retirement at the last race in Mexico – after starting on pole – when a marshal attempted to extinguish the fire on Ricciardo's car: “You can’t really blame them, the car was obviously smoking.
