Valtteri Bottas has admitted he accepts the decision taken by his Mercedes team to swap himself and team-mate Lewis Hamilton at the Russian Grand Prix. The Finn had led the race until he made a pit-stop for fresh soft tyres on lap 12 and continued to hold a net lead over Hamilton and Ferrari's Sebastian Vettel with Max Verstappen leading after storming through the field in the early stages on the yellow-marked soft tyre.
