Channel 4 to show F1 2019 highlights, British GP live

Channel 4 will continue to act as the terrestrial broadcaster of Formula 1 in the United Kingdom next season, and will show the British Grand Prix live. BBC and Sky began a race-sharing deal in 2012 that involved the pay-per-view broadcaster showing each Grand Prix live, and the terrestrial broadcaster showing half of the events live, and the other half in a highlights package. Channel 4 took over the BBC’s part of the contract for the 2016 season though shortly after it was confirmed that Sky Sports had secured exclusive live rights from 2019 through 2024.
