Todt rubbishes speculation of electric future for F1

FIA president Jean Todt rubbishes talk about Formula One's potential electric future, insisting it will never happen in the sport... Todt's comments are contrary to Ross Brawn's comments recently saying that an electric future could be upon F1 in the next decade. The hybrid engine appeared in F1 back in 2014, but the prospect of the Internal Combustion Engine has never been seriously considered by the F1 bosses. Formula E's rise in recent years has caught the eye of Formula One with manufacturers competing such as Audi, BMW, Nissan, Mercedes and Porsche.
