Ericsson fit to drive after massive Monza crash

Marcus Ericsson will be fit to take part in qualifying for the Italian Grand Prix, having avoided injury in his massive crash in Friday's second practice session. Sauber had to break curfew in order to fix Ericsson's car after it was sent barrel-rolling through the first chicane at Monza following a smash into the barriers. Replays showed that a failure on Ericsson's DRS meant it did not shut as he braked into the first turn early in FP2, the lack of downforce whipping Ericsson into the wall.
