Esteban Gutiérrez working on a return to Formula 1
Former Formula 1 driver Esteban Gutiérrez is hoping to make a return to the sport, after spending two years away. The Mexican raced in the sport for two years with Alfa Romeo Sauber F1 Team in 2013 and 2014 before being released ahead of the 2015 season. He joined Scuderia Ferrari as their reserve driver before earning a drive at Haas F1 Team in their inaugural season in 2016. He lost his drive after scoring zero points as Kevin Magnussen replaced his seat for the following season. Gutiérrez has only scored one point during his stint in F1, which later led to making appearances in Formula E and in IndyCar.
