Nicholas Latifi gets Hockenheim FP1 run, Nikita Mazepin handed test outing

Force India test driver Nicholas Latifi is set for his second free practice run of the season at next weekend’s Formula 1 German Grand Prix. Latifi joined Force India at the start of the year as back-up to Sergio Perez and Esteban Ocon, having previously completed runs in Mercedes and Renault machinery. Latifi participated in the post-race test in Barcelona and returned to the VJM11 for the opening practice session at his home Grand Prix in Canada last month. Force India confirmed on Tuesday that Latifi will pilot the car again at next Friday’s first session at Hockenheim, in place of Ocon.
