A new deal between Liberty Media and the owners of the Silverstone circuit isn't close to being sorted. Chairman of the British Racing Driver's Club (BRDC), the body that owns the circuit, John Grant said he was "hopeful" a new deal would be agreed but both parties were "some way apart". "As things stand, 2019 could be the last British GP at Silverstone - or indeed anywhere," he said in a letter obtained by the BBC.
