Austrian GP to feature third DRS zone
A third Formula 1 Drag Reduction System will feature at the Red Bull Ring for this weekend’s Austrian Grand Prix. In a bid to try and increase numbers of overtaking and improve racing, the FIA has experimented with the amount of DRS zones made available at circuits this year, adding an extra zone at Melbourne and Montreal. This year’s Austrian Grand Prix will also include an additional DRS zone after Turn 1, with the aim of allowing cars to follow each other more closely on the run into the uphill braking zone at Turn 3.
