Stroll: I can’t say I like Paul Ricard

Despite being one of the few Formula 1 drivers with a recent record at Paul Ricard, Lance Stroll says the home of the French Grand Prix isn’t a circuit he’s not relishing a return to. The Williams driver competed at Paul Ricard just two years ago during his final FIA European Formula 3 campaign when the French track hosted the season-opener. Stroll claimed pole position, victory and the fastest lap in the 2016 opening race, before retiring from race two and taking fifth place in race three, but given the French GP’s 10-year absence from the F1 calendar he will return to the track with useful racing experience compared to many of his rivals.
