Vettel beats Bottas & Verstappen to Montreal pole – Qualifying Report

Canadian Grand Prix – Sebastian Vettel's aim to reclaim the lead in the drivers' championship were boosted by the four-time champion securing his 54th career pole position at the Circuit Gilles Villeneuve. In a tightly-contested qualifying hour, Vettel's lap record of 1:10.764 edged Mercedes' Valtteri Bottas by less than one tenth of a second. The Finn was able to record only the second occasion where Lewis Hamilton has been beaten by a team-mate in a Canadian Grand Prix qualifying session.
