Formula E won't replace cancelled Montreal race

Formula E will keep its 2017/18 calendar limited to 12 rounds after deciding against slotting in a replacement race following the cancellation of its Montreal ePrix. The Canadian city back-tracked on its commitment to host a double-header round of the all-electric series on its streets for the second year running next summer. Newly elected Montreal mayor Valerie Plante initially suggested a change of venue for the event, proposing that Formula E move away from the center of the city, but ultimately decided to pull out of its contract.
