Brazil given security prompt after F1 robbery scares

The promoter of Formula 1’s Brazilian Grand Prix has been issued with a series of security recommendations in the wake of the problems surrounding this year’s race. At least three robbery attempts were reported during the Interlagos event and Pirelli cancelled its planned two-day, post-race test at the circuit. This was despite ‘heavy reinforcements’ being arranged after Mercedes staff members suffered a gunpoint robbery.
