Franz Tost confirms Daniil Kvyat dropped by Red Bull with 'immediate effect'
Daniil Kvyat's Formula 1 future looks to be over after Toro Rosso team boss Franz Tost confirmed the Russian has been dropped from the Red Bull driver programme with immediate effect. Although Kvyat made a return in Austin for the United States Grand Prix at the weekend, having previously been dumped for Malaysia and Japan, it was purely a one-off to fill in for a missing Pierre Gasly, who had other commitments in Japan. The former Red Bull driver, who was demoted to Toro Rosso at the Spanish GP last year in favour of Max Verstappen, won't be returning to F1 with either team in the future according to Tost.
