Pirelli reveals tyre choices for US GP

– Formula 1 tyre supplier Pirelli has revealed the drivers' tyre selections for the United States Grand Prix, with Mercedes, Ferrari and Red Bull all erring on the side of caution. For the eighth time this season, Pirelli has chosen to supply the three softest compounds for a Grand Prix weekend, bringing the Ultra Soft, Super Soft and Soft compounds to the race in Austin.While Ultra Soft tyres remain the primary compound of choice, Mercedes, Ferrari and Red Bull have opted to have only seven sets of the compound per driver. Conversely, both McLaren and Williams have been more aggressive in their selections and will receive nine sets of the Ultra Soft tyres.With most drivers only...
