Force India strategy call denies Perez podium

Sergio Perez says he’s disappointed to miss out on a potential podium at the Singapore Grand Prix after losing vital track position while pitting under the second safety car period. The Mexican driver announced a new one-year deal to stay at Force India for 2018 during the build-up to the race and believes he could have been celebrating his new contract with a rostrum with a different strategy call. After avoiding the chaos during the blast off the line, Perez quickly found himself in the top five with a shot at the Singapore podium.
