Fernando Alonso insists he has 'winning options' for 2018

Fernando Alonso insists he has 'options' for 2018 which would see him capable of winning races, suggesting he could be considering a move away from Formula 1 where all the top seats are all but confirmed. The Spaniard's McLaren contract expires at the end of the season and he has yet to agree a new deal amid the team's Honda conundrum. On Friday, Alonso said there were options available to him which could see him in a position to win races, but with Ferrari and Red Bull confirming an unchanged driver line-up and Mercedes having Lewis Hamilton locked down, the only seat available within a top team is Valtteri Bottas', but it's highly likely that the Finn will remain....
