Ferrari dominated qualifying for the Hungarian Grand Prix, with Sebastian Vettel taking his third pole position at the Hungaroring and beating his team-mate Kimi Raikkonen. Four-time F1 champion Vettel looked quick throughout qualifying and put in a strong opening attempt, setting a new unofficial track record with a 1:16.276. He just missed out on bettering his earlier lap by 0.002s in the closing moments of Q3, but no one was able to beat his quickest time.
