Cowell: Honda should not be underestimated
– Mercedes engine boss Andy Cowell believes McLaren and Honda's ability should not be underestimated, and expects the partnership to come good "pretty quickly".Cowell has led Mercedes' engine division through its dominant period in the sport, while conversely, rival Honda has struggled since returning as McLaren's supplier in 2015.Honda introduced a new power unit concept for 2017 and its engine chief Yusuke Hasegawa feels it will prove beneficial long-term, despite a difficult opening half of the campaign.Hasegawa pinpointed the removal of F1's token system as a key step and, with development now less restricted, Cowell reckons the Japanese manufacturer should not be...
