Pirelli to bring Ultrasoft to Spa, ditches Hard for Suzuka

Formula 1 tyre supplier Pirelli will bring its softest compound, the Ultrasoft, to the Belgian Grand Prix later this year, and has ditched the Hard tyre for the Japanese Grand Prix. Pirelli has introduced wider, more durable tyres for 2017, and its recent selections for Grands Prix at high-speed circuits have seen the company take a softer approach compared to its 2016 choices. The Ultrasoft, Supersoft and Soft compounds will be in use at Spa-Francorchamps, a step softer than its respective 2016 choice. This soft approach has also been adopted for the Japanese Grand Prix at Suzuka later in the year, where the Supersoft, Soft and Medium compounds will be available, with the Hard tyre...
