– Valtteri Bottas hailed Mercedes' recovery from its Monaco slump as the Finn completed a 1-2 finish at the Canadian Grand Prix.Mercedes struggled for pace around the streets of the Principality two weeks ago, with Bottas finishing fourth, while team-mate Lewis Hamilton took seventh, though both returned to the sharp end in Canada.Bottas started from third place on the grid and passed Sebastian Vettel off the line, though was overhauled by the fast-starting Max Verstappen, meaning he maintained his position.Verstappen, though, halted with a mechanical glitch, promoting Bottas into second, where he remained for the bulk of the race, dropping to third only during the pit stop...
