Hamilton beats Vettel in Spain thriller
– Lewis Hamilton overcame a fast-starting Sebastian Vettel to claim victory in Sunday's Spanish Grand Prix and close back in on the championship lead, as their Mercedes and Ferrari team-mates retired.Hamilton lost out to Vettel off the line before the pair ran different tyre strategies, Hamilton on Soft/Medium/Soft and Vettel on Soft/Soft/Medium.Vettel stayed ahead through both pit-stops, emerging just ahead of Hamilton after his second, and boldly defending into the first corner.However, as the stint developed, Hamilton – on the quicker tyre – proved too quick for Vettel, and managed to slip past with DRS for the lead.Hamilton gradually pulled away in the closing laps, while...
