Sebastian Vettel leads Ferrari's first front-row lock-out since 2008 for Russian GP
Sebastian Vettel set the quickest time during a thrilling qualifying session for the Russian Grand Prix, scoring Ferrari’s first pole position since Singapore 2015. It was also the first non-Mercedes pole since Monaco 2016 and with Kimi Raikkonen in second place, it gave Ferrari its first front row lockout since the 2008 French Grand Prix. Ferrari led the way in practice on Friday and Saturday morning, but Mercedes displayed strong pace through the first two segments of qualifying, setting up a tight fight for pole position.
