Pascal Wehrlein to make F1 return in Bahrain

Sauber has announced that Pascal Wehrlein will return to Formula 1 action at the third round of the season in Bahrain this weekend. Wehrlein sustained a back injury at the Race of Champions in January and he was ruled out of the first pre-season test in Spain, but was given the green light to drive during the second test. The Mercedes-backed youngster completed Friday's practice sessions in Australia, but withdrew amid fitness concerns, with his training regime having been hit by the effects of his injury, and was replaced by Ferrari reserve driver Antonio Giovinazzi.
