Formula 1 to trial new Thursday press conference format in Melbourne

Formula 1 will trial a new Thursday FIA press conference format in Melbourne this weekend, which will see the session split into two 25-minute sessions featuring eight drivers. Previously six drivers were chosen to take part in the Thursday press conference with all media in attendance, but that has been tweaked for the first race of the 2017 season. Instead, eight drivers will be split into two groups of four. Each group will spend 25 minutes with print media whilst the other four are interviewed by TV media. The groups will then swap. The change now means media will now get a total of 50 minutes with eight drivers, rather than 30 minutes with six. This Thursday's press conference...
